SERVER OPTION

Although many clients work with Flowzone as a simple cloud application, we do have an alternative option: Flowzone Server.

From an end user's perspective there is no difference.

But the server option means that rather being in the cloud, Flowzone is installed on one of your business' servers.

Meet your IT policy requirements

As you are in control your IT team can manage the system exactly as they want.

If you need to keep everything behind your firewall then you can do.

Or, if you have particular backup or archiving policies then no problem.

Local network

The Flowzone Server option also means you can take advantage of your high-speed local network (which is faster than even the fastest internet connections) when uploading bulky files such as images or videos.

Working within your IT Team

We work with your IT team on the installation and will talk to them about server requirements.

Cross-platform - Windows Server or Linux

Flowzone is built in Java. That means it is completely cross-platform: you can install it on a server running Windows Server or Linux. So, whatever your IT team's operating system of choice, we can work with it.

Virtual Machines

Many IT teams use virtual server setups. That's no problem for Flowzone Server: it can be installed on a virtual server just as easily as a dedicated one.

Storage

With your own server, the amount of storage that Flowzone uses is only limited by the server itself, with many terabytes possible. You just need to ask your IT team nicely!

From an end user perspective, it makes almost no difference, but Flowzone's Server option is the way to go if your IT have particular requirements that they need to meet.
